Sponsor Licence & Employer Compliance

UK Sponsor Licence advisory for employers serious about compliance.

From first licence application to live compliance defence, we help UK businesses sponsor talent confidently — and lawfully.

What is a Sponsor Licence?

A Sponsor Licence is permission from the Home Office for a UK business to employ workers from overseas under the Skilled Worker route and other sponsored routes. Without a licence, a UK employer cannot assign a Certificate of Sponsorship and cannot lawfully recruit non-settled workers in eligible roles.

Who needs a Sponsor Licence?

UK employers wishing to recruit overseas talent — including SMEs, scale-ups, healthcare providers, professional services firms and large corporates. New entities, start-ups and overseas businesses expanding into the UK can also apply, subject to additional evidence.

Skilled Worker sponsorship

We guide employers through the Skilled Worker requirements, including occupation eligibility, salary thresholds, going-rate analysis, and the practical assignment of Defined or Undefined Certificates of Sponsorship.

Employer duties

Sponsors are subject to ongoing reporting, record-keeping, recruitment and co-operation duties. We help embed these into your HR and people processes from day one.

HR compliance systems

Right-to-work, attendance, salary, and absence tracking — we audit and document your systems so that they meet UKVI expectations under scrutiny.

Home Office audit preparation

We run mock audits, prepare your key personnel for interviews, and ensure your sponsor management system entries reconcile with your underlying records.

Certificate of Sponsorship guidance

From CoS allocation requests to individual CoS assignments, we ensure each Certificate is correctly issued, priced and supported.

Refusal, suspension and revocation support

Where a licence is refused, suspended or revoked, we prepare responses, representations and — where appropriate — a strategy for re-application.
